The regular soccer season has come to an end and Wesley’s team, the Galaxy, won the championship game. Three years ago the Galaxy did not win a single game. I know that soccer at this age is all about having fun, but losing is not much fun. They only scored three goals that entire season.
They won the championship game last night 4-2. After a slow start, they were tied 1-1 at the half. They turned up their game in the second half as the sun went down and the temperature dropped. Wesley played “sweeper” which is the middle defender. He didn’t score any goals, but had a great pass to one of our forwards for a goal. He played really well.
